Who we are

Dark Ages Productions is a genre focused feature film production company with financing capabilities. Our goal is to create internationally captivating genre films that are made for global market trends. Each film is tailored specifically to meet current trends of the consumer by combining cast, story, and sales strategy. Our team has over 20 years of combined film production experience, with connections at major production, finance, and distribution companies.

Our Mandate

We are focused on creating 2 internationally appealing genre films, predominantly in the horror space, per year. Our films will be at a theatrical caliber, working with top talent from development through to distribution. We also believe in celebrating our differences along with our similarities. We’re proud supporters of BIPOC and LGBTQ2S+ in front and behind the camera, along with ensuring an equal/safe workspace for any gender. Finally, every film we will be working closely with our communities and help give back where we can.

Financing

Dark Ages Productions is a finance/production company. We are focused on creating tailored sales and finance strategies for our films at the low budget level (under $5 Million USD).

We couple this with our local Canadian tax credits to maximize upside and minimize risk. We also partner on international co-productions and co-finance.

Service Production

Based out of Vancouver, BC Canada we have access to some of the worlds best sound stages, diverse metropolitan locations, and stunning natural landscapes.

We are capable of financing tax credits at a competitive level and delivering projects on time and on budget. Here at Dark Ages we love working with new people and especially international co-productions. Canada has some of the best international co-production arrangements.

The (nice) Villains

President - Trevor Seeley

Leveraging his degree in economics Trevor began his career in Los Angeles interning under Heidi Jo Markel (LONDON HAS FALLEN, OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN, PLAYING FOR KEEPS, TRUST). Soon after he joined a commercial agency writing, directing, and producing over 30 commercials over the course of two years. Eager to deepen his industry knowledge, Trevor studied master level film producing at UCLA and shortly after opened Ageless Pictures alongside Harris Seeley. A few years later, Dark Ages Productions was born - a finance/production company focused on low-budget genre pictures.

Trevor recently produced The Legend of La Llorona (Danny Trejo, Autumn Reeser, Antonio Cupo) with Film Bridge International running sales and heading to market 2021. Heading into production in 2021 Trevor is producing Adam & Amy @ The End with David Arquette at the helm and Film Bridge International running world sales. Additionally for 2021 Trevor is producing The Deceivers with Eduardo Sanchez (Blaire Witch Project) at the helm.

Trevor is in active development on over 6 feature films and 3 TV shows with an aggressive development slate with two productions aimed for both 2021 and 2022.

VP - Gurpreet Sahota

Gurpreet Singh Sahota attended the University of Calgary and obtained Bachelor’s of Science in Cellular Molecular and Microbial Biology (CMMB) as well as a Medical Doctorate (M.D.) degree from the University of British Columbia. Gurpreet has received several nominations for 'Best Family Doctor Award" as well as owning/running his own medical clinic with multiple physicians working under him. Gurpreet has always believed in striving towards living your dreams and is the founder/CEO of Explorii - Watch Together, a very popular entertainment app.

Gurpreet is now merging his experience with medicine, entrepreneurship, his ability to develop successful businesses, with his passion for film. Alongside Seeley, Gurpreet is launching genre focused film finance/production company Dark Ages Pictures. Recently producing The Legend of La Llorona alongside Seeley and Larson, starring DANNY TREJO, AUTUMN REESER, ANTONIO CUPO, he is heading into pre-production on Adam & Amy @ The End alongside Trevor Seeley and Cameron Larson with David Arquette directing.
